Now, more than ever, moms are becoming more active in the household.  Gone are the days when moms stayed at home to watch over their children and attend to matters of the family.  WAH moms are increasing in number, and along with this comes a great responsibility for these career moms to balance work and family.

So how do WAH moms successfully balance work and family?

Setting the Ground Rules

Balancing family and work at home takes a lot of planning.  You have to prepare not only yourself for the transition, but other member of the family as well.  Especially if you have little children who still need your care and attention, you might consider getting child care. This frees your time at home, so you can focus on work. You can also set an open door-closed door policy with your older kids, for them to know when you can be disturbed or not. The “do not touch list” will also come in handy. As much as possible, the quality of your work shouldn’t suffer just because you’re working at home. The whole family should be involved in helping you balance career and family.

Keeping Your Kids Active and Busy

As much as possible, you want your children to be focused on other things when you work.  This way, they are kept busy, so you can put your whole mind into getting your job done.  Plan ahead and schedule activities that your kids enjoy.  You can enroll them in summer camp, get them to read books and practice independent play indoors and outdoors.

Managing Money and Expenses

Even as a work at home mom, you have the responsibility of handling the finances at home.  Manage this well and look for ways to cut your monthly budget.  Because you are now working at home, you can save a lot of money in fuel and transportation costs, lunch expenses, and more.  This can be used to build up your household savings.

Taking Care of Yourself

On top of work and family, WAH moms should not neglect themselves too.  Everyone needs a little treat, and if you want to continue working harmoniously at home with your spouse and children, you also have to unwind and treat yourself.  This relieves stress and tension and makes you generally happy to avoid conflicts.

Working from home has several benefits over going to work in a traditional office setting. Everything is accomplished without you having to leave the comforts of your home. Truly, there are a lot of home business benefits that have attracted many entrepreneurs to open their own offices at home.

One of the most important home business benefits is that you’re your own boss.  You won’t be taking orders from anyone and you work at your own pace and schedule.  Also, you won’t have to deal with office politics and gossip, or handle colleagues that just get on your nerves.

Another benefit of working from home is that you don’t even have to travel to go to work.  All it takes is to walk a few steps and you get to your workstation.  By not commuting to and from work, just imaging how much you’re saving in fuel expenses!  The stress brought about by slow drivers and traffic jams is also eliminated.  You can also help save the environment this way.

Time freedom is also one of the many home business benefits.  When you work at a traditional office setting, you’d have to request for a time off and go through procedures.  But when you work at home, you can manage you time in such a way that you can spend quality time with your family without sacrificing your work.

And since most people who work at the office often go out to have lunch or have lunch delivered, this can add up to a huge cost.  Although it might seem minimal when looking at the small picture, doing so everyday actually costs quite a lot!  By not dong so anymore, since you work at home, you can save a significant amount of money.

Working from home also minimizes overhead expenses.  When you have a traditional office for your business, you would have to pay for rent, furniture, electricity, and telephone bills, among a few.  When you work from home, you don’t have to pay as much.  This translates to more savings, which is a component of home business benefits.  You also get extra tax benefits for being self-employed and for working from home.

Their success stories sound so amazing, it makes you want to jump right into the business of making money through the Internet. But the gurus didn’t get to where they are without committing mistakes and learning from it. Fortunately, they have don the trial-and-error for you and are willing to share the most common mistakes to avoid when you really want to earn money online.

Believing You’ll Make It Big Overnight

If you want to really make money online, it takes a lot of determination and patience.  No one gets rich overnight with online money making schemes, so if a particular program promises you that it can make you earn big in just a matter of hours or days, stay away from it.  It’s most likely a scam only out to get your hard-earned money.  Don’t go into money making online with a mindset that success happens overnight.  Otherwise, you’ll be disappointed.

Not Equipping Yourself With Knowledge

There are some people who immediately get involved in a program and not have the most basic idea of how to market it effectively.  No matter how profitable and saleable the products and services you’re promoting, it wouldn’t sell if no one actually knows you’re promoting it.  You need to learn how to drive qualified traffic to your site.  Skipping these crucial steps and not learning about these strategies can be a huge mistake.

Jumping From One Program To Another

If you’ve found a particular program you’re comfortable with,  then by all means, stick with it.  Even if another program comes along and promises you more money, avoid jumping ship immediately.  It helps to find a system that works best for you, and when you do, stay with it.

Not Doing Research

It can’t be stressed enough – doing research if very important.  Some companies do not pay out in the end, and it helps to research to know their credibility.  If they’ve failed others before, there’s bound to be bad reviews on the Internet.  Look for a list of credible business partners that really allow you to make money online.

Time is a very precious thing, and once gone, you can never get it back.  Unfortunately for a lot of individuals, they spend too much time focusing on their urgent responsibilities and duties that they don’t have enough time for themselves and their loved ones.  Especially when they work at a traditional office setting and sit in their desk waiting for the clock to strike 5:00 pm, a lot of precious time is lost.  If you value time freedom, one way to get it would be to make money from home by working online.

You’ll be surprised a the number of businessopprtunities available on the Internet waiting to be taken advantage of.  By earning an income online, you don’t have to spend 8-hours a day at the office.  When you work at home, you can set a time table for your work hours, so that you can easily fit in other important activities like attending to family matter and the like.  You can choose to spend only a few hours per day working, while earning just about the same amount of income you earn in your current day job.

Indeed, the time freedom you get when working at home is significant.  You don’t have to waste time preparing yourself for work, traveling to and from work, and sitting through meetings.

But it doesn’t mean that because you put in lesser hours, you get lesser pay.  With working online, you also get financial freedom and independence.  You don’t have to depend on a paycheck that comes in on the 15th and 30th of the month.  You make your own paycheck and you can cash it in any time you want.  Are you forever waiting for that promotion or raise?  When you work online and put your heart into it, the financial possibilities are limitless!

Those who work from home value the time freedom they get by staying at home and earning at the same time. They have more time for more important matters and still have time for rest and relaxation.  If this is important for you as well, consider working from home too.

You’ve got your dream house, a dream car, and a dream partner to share it all with. It seems that life’s all good, right? So, can you say you’re already living life to the fullest?

Although for some, it may be so, but for others who had to work and continue to work just to get to a comfortable position in life, this really doesn’t qualify as living life t the fullest.

After all, what good would you material possessions be if you had to be at the office almost all hours of the day, and when you get home, you still have to do some important work?  Where would that leave you and your personal time?  How would you enjoy the world and the many beautiful things it can offer you?  Remember, that while you’re busy at work, trying to earn a six figure income or more, time is ticking away and you can never get it back once it’s lost.  Work and money is not everything, as you also have to put value on personal relationships and of course, yourself.

But what if there was a way to achieve both?  What if you could earn an amazing income while at the same time have enough time for yourself and your family or partner?

Believe it or not, many people have been living life to the fullest by working from home.  They get to earn income with no boundaries, and they work at their own pace and time.  No one tells than what to do, and they’re their own boss.  This way, they still have time to develop and foster personal relationships, such as their family, friends, and partner in life.

For others, simply balancing work and personal time is a good life already.  For those who enjoy giving back to the community, using the free time you get by working at home may be used to volunteer at non-profit organization, or to hold charity balls and dinners.  When you know you can freely enjoy life and still be able to live it comfortably, that’s living life to the fullest for most people already.
